Becoming A Member
In order to become a Candidate member you must find a supervisor first. A supervisor must hold the Certified Appraisal Reviewer Designation.
All applications for membership are submitted to the Membership and Admissions Committee. Each application is reviewed with regard to education and experience. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age, hold a high school diploma at the university entrance level, and not have a criminal record.
All Candidates must complete courses CNA101 Introduction to Real Estate Appraising, CNA102 Introduction to Appraisal Standards, and CNA111 CNAREA Ethics within four (4) months of being accepted as well as courses CNA112 A Guide to Residential Appraising and CNA202 Residential Cost Approach within (6) months of being accepted.
